W. Burke's September 2024 stay perfectly captures what we mean by "Pause-Rêve" - taking time to appreciate the essentials done beautifully. Arriving by train from London and collecting a hire car from Nîmes Pont du Gard, W.B. discovered that sometimes the most meaningful luxury lies in simplicity:
“From the moment I contacted Gaby, everything was straightforward and well organised. Arrived by train from London & hired car from Nîmes Pont du Gard. There are more straightforward routes w/ fully booked due to last minute travel plans.
Absolutely loved everything about the apartment. Simply & beautifully done, it has absolutely everything you need, and nothing you don’t - this is luxury.
Wonderful bed & linens; great shower; small but perfectly appointed kitchen; beautiful courtyard with table - it’s an absolutely perfect retreat for 2 ( a cot/child bed is possible apparently).
Euzet-les-Bains is a beautiful, old and peaceful village ( has some festivals thr’ the year that sound wonderful: (lavender and bullrunning festivals). Lots of walks from outside the door, w/ clear details in house info.Highly recommend local market at Uzès & e-bike hire from Sun-E bikes for ride from Uzès - Pont du Gard ( lunch + swim by bridge) September was a magical time to be here.”
W.B's insight about "everything you need, and nothing you don't" reflects our philosophy of thoughtful curation over excess. This 17th-century stone house offers authentic luxury - handpicked linens, a perfectly proportioned kitchen, and that private courtyard where morning coffee and evening aperitifs become daily rituals.
September visitors like W.B. often discover our village's quieter magic - the gentle pace of harvest season, and those perfect cycling temperatures for the Uzès to Pont du Gard route. It's when Euzet-les-Bains reveals its most contemplative character, ideal for travellers seeking authentic Provençal rhythms rather than peak-season bustle.
